Gouranga Das

Gouranga has been a resident of Bolpur since his birth. He first got introduced to kantha stitch art form as a curriculum in school, which he later developed as his primary skill. In order to gain flawless proficiency in kantha stitch, Gouranga has acquired various trainings on the art form disseminated from his local municipality and other organizations. With the knowledge gained, at present Gouranga has established himself as a distinguished artist of his locality. Gouranga has been running his handicraft business for almost 12 years now. Das produces a vast variety of ethnic kantha stitched garments ranging from saree, stole, to readymade kurta, Panjabi and others.
