Subrata Bagdi

Subrata Bagdi is a God-gifted artist from West Bengal’s Sainthia in Birbhum ,where he has been residing for the past 27 years. His passion for bamboo art is reflected through his work which stands for a new beginning of pure and unique weaves. He has an experience of around 10 years and is the principal earning member of his family. His sense of design is very unique from other artisans that make his creations indispensable. The cultural and artistic heritage of the place finds a special place in his heart, who has been involved in intricately Kantha stitching on a wide variety of items for the past two decades. It is a passion that drives his association to the art form, which happens to be the indigenous treasure of Birbhum district.
