Sandeep Bose

Sandeep Bose is a God-gifted Kantha-stitch artist from West Bengal’s Sainthia in Birbhum ,where he has been residing for the past 49 years. His passion for heirloom textiles is reflected through his work which stands for a new beginning of pure and unique weaves. He specializes in Kantha Stitch and cotton wear and is a master artist of his group of 10 members. He has an experience of around 10 years and is the principal earning member of his family. His sense of design is very unique from other Kantha Stitch artisans that make his creations indispensable to one's wardrobe. With his team of four artists, his products include various types of garments such as kantha stitched saree, kurta, and many more. The cultural and artistic heritage of the place finds a special place in his heart, who has been involved in intricately Kantha stitching on a wide variety of items for the past two decades. It is a passion that drives his association to the art form, which happens to be the indigenous treasure of Birbhum district.
