Debabrata Sengupta

Debabrata Sengupta has been residing in Bolpur's Sriniketan since his birth. He is proficient in leather craft and at present holds executive membership in Leather Manufacturer Association of South Asian countries SEMI. It is Debabrata's passion towards leather craft that has enabled him to earn proficiency over the same. Without any formal training on leather craft, by simply observing leather artists of his locality, Debabrata has learnt leather crafting and at present makes a diverse range of innovative items out of leather. Debabrata has been practicing leather craft for over three decades now. At present he has employed around 15 local leather artists to work with him. Together with his team, Debabrata creates a vast variety of items out of leather ranging from leather bags of different size and shape, penstands, jewellery box to utility pouches and leather embellished diaries.
