Sannasi Das from Surul, Bolpur is an eminent leather artist . He has been a resident of Surul for over two decades now. Born to a family of leather artists, Sannasi easily imbibed the skill of leather craft from his father. He is a part of Leather cluster as well and Manjusha, the government retail unit selling artisan made products. He has also attended different exhibitions and Krishi shilpo programme . His intricate skill in leather crafting has fetched him fame among his peer groups. Sannasi has been practicing leather craft for the past 25 years and currently employs 12 local leather artist under him. Together with his unit, Sannasi produces a diverse range of leather bags and accessories. .
