Khama Pal

khama Pal is living in Bolpur for over two decades now. She reserves her interest in the art form of kantha stitching. Besides working with a Self help group, Khama's undying endeavor has made her successful in running her own handicraft business, premised on a range of beautifully designed kantha stitched items. Starting with a preliminary knowledge on stitching acquired during school, Khama's passion towards hand weaving enabled her to master the art form with utmost proficiency and grace. Her flawless innovative embroidery is a must in every wardrobe. Khama, with her 15 years of experience in formally practicing kantha stitch, at present employs and trains around 250 local artists, together with whom she produces a variety of ethnic items starting from saree, readymade kurta and panjabi, salwar kameez suit piece, blouse pieces and others.
