Urmila Das lives in Santiniketan since her birth. Being born in a family of artists, since childhood Urmila has been inspired to take up a profession along creative lines. She masters in kantha stitch art form, which she has learned from her mother. Urmila's prolonged experience in this field has enabled her to establish her very own handicraft business, premised on a range of kantha stitch items. With an experience of over three decades, Urmila along with her daughter, is currently engaged in making a variety of kantha stitch items including saree, blouse , bag and other items. Her intricate designer items are recommended for everyone with a good taste.
